Futurise took the lead in developing Malaysia\u2019s first autonomous vehicle testing guidelines, in collaboration with MARii, Majlis Perbandaran Sepang (MPS), JPJ, APAD, MiROS, and the Automotive Development Centre at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. These guidelines were later submitted to the Ministry of Transport, which endorsed the first AV testing route in Cyberjaya in December 2020.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Malaysia\u2019s first Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Testing Route in Cyberjaya stretches seven kilometers across two routes: one looping Futurise and Cyberview 15, and another along Persiaran APEC, Cyberpoint, and Rimba Permai. eMoovit pioneered AV pilot testing here, and today, other innovators can apply to test their vehicles in a secure, controlled environment.<\/p>

1. What is MyAV?<\/h5>


<\/span>MyAV (Malaysia Autonomous Vehicle) is an initiative by the Ministry of Transport Malaysia (MOT) supported by Futurise and Local Councils through the National Regulatory Sandbox Program (NRS) in providing a safe, real-life environment test bed for autonomous vehicle trial<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/section>

2. Where is MyAV located at?<\/h5>

The first MyAV was developed in Cyberjaya, Selangor, another testing routes has been established at Putrajaya, MRANTI Park, Iskandar Putri, & BRT Sunway<\/p><\/div><\/section>

3. How to apply for autonomous vehicle trial at MyAV?<\/h5>

Organizations who are interested to conduct autonomous vehicle trials at MyAV are required to submit the application form together with the Safety Management Plan to <\/span>myav@futurise.com.my<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div><\/section>

4. What is the duration of the autonomous vehicle trial at MyAV?<\/h5>

Trial organizations are required to conduct the trial at Route A for at least six (6) months and will then proceed to Route B for at least twelve (12) months<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/section>

5. What type of vehicles can be used for autonomous vehicle trials at MyAV?<\/h5>

The vehicles used must comply with the current regulations and standards and must obtain permit\/approval from the relevant authorities (e.g. Vehicle Type Approval)<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/section>

6. Is there any cost involved to conduct autonomous vehicle trial at MyAV?<\/h5>

There is no cost involved. However, trial organizations are required to obtain a public liability insurance that is sufficient to cover the vehicle, product, public, occupational health and safety and other related risks<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/section>

7. Who will be evaluating the trial application?<\/h5>

Trial applications will be evaluated by the AV Evaluation Committee, chaired by Ministry of Transport Malaysia.<\/p><\/div><\/section>

8. How will the trial application status\/result be notified?<\/h5>

MOT will provide a written approval letter to the approved organization to conduct the autonomous vehicle trial<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/section>

To import autonomous vehicles into Malaysia, applicant will need to get an approved permit (AP) from MITI under R&D permanent\/temporary import.
